LHHS was formed by 2 music producers from Leeds who, wanted to find quality networking facilities in the local area.
Leeds Hip Hop Scene was initially setup as an unbiased guide to Leeds live music as a blog on myspace.com, detailing live events we had attended and what was going on in the local music scene. After achieving a large amount of hits in just a few months, we soon decided to launch a website dedicated to everything going on in Leeds.
We also plan to expand into other areas relating to hip hop culture as the site grows.
Leeds Hip Hop Scene is committed to helping local artists and venues and we need your help to make this happen. LHHS is continually looking for writers and photographers to help with the site. No experience or qualifications are required, just the passion and desire to help promote the thriving Leeds hip hop scene.
If you would like to add a link to Leeds Hip Hop Scene to your blog, myspace page or website, please feel free to do so.

At LHHS we wish to promote an open discussion of all things hip hop and the subjects surrounding it, so for us to do that we need smart people like YOU to contribute. Help us create a better hip hop site and a better world by bringing intelligent and informed articles back to hip hop.
If you have a thought on anything ranging from hip hop/street art/video/politics send it into us and we’ll try our best to publish it… Our only requirement is that the articles are well written and don’t contain anything illegal or that may cause great offence. Please feel free to leave a comment on any articles on the site too, our writers enjoy reading them and it helps to promote the community spirit of the site!
If you are a PR company/record label or struggling artist be sure to contact LHHS and we’ll be happy to read your press releases/review your music or help where we can.
