As part of Black History Month @ Smokestack, Breaking the Illusion & Sound People teamed up to put on series of events which culminated in Thursday’s final hip hop bumper buster! With the diverse sounds of Leeds hip hop on show we were in for a treat.
First up was Kockee K letting rip with some brand new production which had some tremndous basslines and heavy beats, whilst he dropped a whole set freestyling his way through displaying his strong technical ability as a great all round MC. Backed up by Lanre (SOL) on vocals it was a truly strong opener.
Brutal Artistry dropped a great set too (minus Spida Lee) with Chief Wigz on the mic, Megamouth
