Support DPM

I was hit up with this track from The IRS’s Ed Strong, with DJ c0mplex, in support of incarcerated graffiti artists DPM. With 5 members of the crew receiving custodial sentences of between 15 months and two years it cries out as purely ridiculous in a society where many violent criminals and repeat offenders are getting away with a ticking off or fine, and when Banksy’s work is receiving “special status” from local councils and buildings displaying his work sell for additional tens of thousands it is absolutely mind boggling.
Even Judge Christopher Hardy was quoted in sentencing saying, “It would be wrong of me not to acknowledge that some examples of your handiwork show considerable artistic talent, part of what is now known as the graffiti subculture and on the way to being recognised as a valid form of art…”
