Rising Styles - Volunteers Needed
Published by Wisdomtooth June 15th, 2008 in News.
Originating as the Brighton Hip Hop Festival (BHHF) in 2004 and rebranded in 2008, RISING STYLES (RS) has become the UK’s largest celebration of International Hip Hop culture. Over the past four years the one-week festival has gone from strength to strength and is recognised as a must attend event for all Hip Hop enthusiasts, as well as anyone with an interest in the many art forms that are comprised within the culture. Organised by arts development agency KALA PHOOL, RISING STYLES exists as ‘not for profit’ to celebrate the richness, strength and diversity of Hip Hop culture, with many of its events free to attend. Historically the festival has been supported by a range of the large public funders.
The 2006 festival was a huge success with more than 25,000 people attending throughout. Throughout RISING STYLES the events can’t happen without the support of 100’s of Volunteers. Year round they try to work to attract new people and have in the past been supported by many traveling especially to help with all RISING STYLES needs.
If you want to get involved, have fun and be part of a growing festival then this is the festival for you. You can guarantee that they’ll look after you and provide unprecedented access to all the events.
Their Volunteer age limit is from 16 years… and you will need to commit to the whole Festival in July 08.
We will provide Volunteer training and continue to support you during your stay with us. If this is something that you’d like to know more about, please do get in touch with Rising styles.

Dear Rising Styles
Please could you provide details as to what one’s job description would be as a volunteer.
I think this would be a great opportunity but just require more details.
Thank You
