Bit late here I know, but in answer to your question oxfordhiphop, yeah that sample from the last tune was used by Nappa on the first Phi Life album, can’t remember which track although I can hear the sample clear. Prefer the Braintax one actually, cos of the sweet long outro that gives u a sec to dwell on the fact that - for all of his flaws (big up Chester) - a legend has gone.

And here’s a bit of underground knowledge that you might have missed… both HARRY LOVE and VERB T got their first vinyl pressing with a rapper from Oxford, and I have the 10″ vinyl here to prove it. FREE INTERNETTS to first person to say that Oxford rapper’s name.

lol ziggy - oxfords got good artists - notably pneumatic n sloth, and dj indecision… that said, ive never been to a hiphop night there. but i know of a few emcees from down that way. tis like gafawing at the prospect of yorkshrie hiphop (and alot of ppl do)…

It amazes me when i read these things what some people
say. theurbanshop said this album reminded him of the last chester p album (I take it you mean “from the ashes”) this is a laughable comment. The two MC’s are so different, do you even listen to what they say!!! Production wise the two are worlds apart too. This is a good album, not as good as the other two in my opinion, but good anyway. Tender…. Braintax is a real guy, with real opinions, what would you rather he spoke about? guns and bitches? I’d like to hear you rap. One last thing… oxfordhiphop?? do they even sell hiphop music in oxford??????

it sounds like tender has the world all worked out. its people like you….. …no sorry im going to leave it at that. i dont like bitchin and everyone else knows what i mean. dont think his ‘TENDER’ ears cant handle the truth tho. why not write your own album?????????????

The lyrical content of Biro Funk was different and insightful at the time, but he is sounding so cliché now.

This IS NOT pithy social commentary but rather Sixth Form Socialist nonsense, whose research sounds like it came entirely from a (in no way at all bias) Micheal Moore Film,

I think Braintax needs a reality check: there is no 9/11 conspiracy, the west aren’t the bad guys, and I bet he shops in tesco’s just like the rest of us.

Very few artists can credibly delve into politics, Bob Dylan can Braintax can’t. You want to hear quirky and irreverent takes on British life in UK hiphop, not have the rap equivalent of the Green Party Manifesto rammed down your throat.

GROW UP for god sake!

I thought this was a great album, I can listen to it all the way through without skipping a single track… not something I can say about every album.

I think the production is good and the beats fit Braintax’s style well.

The lyrics are great and he puts some brilliant points across to the listeners, whilst keeping his lyrics witty and a good flow.

i like it. it took a few plays to really get into it but im pretty impressed.
i can see what people mean though, its never going to compare to Biro Funk or Panorama.
really like the last track, i recognise the tune though, where is it from?? any help?
