Are these the WORST Rap Lyrics Ever?
Published by Chris December 4th, 2007 in Feature.I was chatting to Wisdomtooth the other day about the lyrical content in Hip Hop and most importantly the intellectual fodder we are provided by many mainstream artists… so I got down to thinking and decided I’d put down a couple of my favourite worst Hip Hop/Rap lyrics into the public domain:
NOTORIOUS B.I.G. - Whats Beef
“Don’t they know my nigga - Gutter fuckin’ kidnap kids?
Fuck ‘em in the ass, throw ‘em over da bridge.”
That’s right the big fat dead guy just said “Gutter fuckin’ kidnap kids? Fuck ‘em in the ass, throw ‘em over da bridge” what on earth would possess an MC to drop such a line, I know its gully and all to show some bravado and tell us all how hard you and your gangster mates are but please Biggie we don’t think you’re any tougher because you know a guy who kidnaps and abuses kids is the way to go!!
Cam’ron - Lord you Know
“Eh yo them niggas from the 3-2, said I can’t breeze through
the fourty if I cop bottles, we can’t believe you.
Me who? Please boo. Landin’ in that G2,

Do I even need to comment on these lyrics - come on do I ?? Really - was Cam’ron given a rhyming dictionary for 4 year olds when he was writing this? I know people on life support machines who can right more intellectual prose with their mouths than this guy could ever imagine writing?!
I’m sure you’ve all got examples of really bad rap lyrics so be sure to drop them in the comments below… I’m going to do some more research into this as there are so many top 100 hip hop tracks/lyrics/albums lists out there that I think the Shit rappers in this world deserve some (dis-)credit!!

I think Cam’Ron has this whole thing sewn up really. Every lyric he’s ever dropped is like the one higlighted. He’s so ignorant that he even gives shout outs like ‘Taliban, bitch’ which has nothing to do with anything. How he got a record deal I have no idea.
I actually like E-40 for the most part, but the opening lyrics for ‘Tell Me When To Go’ are pretty silly:
“Jesus Christ had dreads, so shake ‘em,
I ain’t got none but I’m planning on growing some”
Eh???? And that was the opening lines for the lead single to promote his last album as well. Nutter. Absolute nutter.
you ignorant person,
biggie’s line is actually incredibly powerful.
he’s not refering to ‘Gutter’ as a friend of his or anything like that; it considers the slums and ghettos of our society, where young kids are ‘kidnapped’ by crime and poverty. look beyond the 4-letter words and try to find a hidden message.
