A Message to Hip Hop Bloggers Everywhere…
Published by Editor November 4th, 2007 in News.Thank you ever so much for filling my RSS feed-reader each & every day with your many articles of interesting, creative, funny, insightful thoughts about the world of hip-hop. However, I have one complaint. Where’s the coverage of independent artists?
Some of you are walking encyclopedias of your local underground scene, yet you only blog about the usual Top 40 artists such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Kanye West and Co. who are overexposed anyway. What’s the deal with that?
Don’t be ashamed of it! Show love to your favorite underappreciated rappers, no matter how few people care!
If you enjoy this site, why not buy us a pint?

aye. I agree. I am trying!
yah i been meaning to start doing something along these lines as an offshoot of how we do - am looking to start a weekly newsletter with biog’s of that weeks artists, their style, influences etc.. but been busy with uni work of late to set about getting the info/mailing list/etc sorted
just admit it Tom, you a lazy little loverat who likes nothing more than cuddling up to his new bit of the weekend!!!
Why do you need a weekly newsletter and have to worry about getting email addresses?
Just post it via the site Snafu - then it will be sent to all the people on our RSS feed immediately and I can do a link to your articles via our monthly email…

And Aidan I know your on the local scene mate I’m talking about certain blogs/forums that seem to be copying each other - as soon as SOHH, XXL or Cocaine Blunts post an article about 50 Cents cock then my RSS Feed Reader is need deep in the re-hashing of them articles…
sounds like a much better plan with alot less hassle (whoop), will get on it - is it okay if its not always hiphop?? cos this week we got Senseless Records doing a Dubstep showcase..?
Coolio
Haha cool. I know I’ve been guilty of posting a 50 track or two. ‘How to rob’ though? Just pretending he was still underground and independent!
I try to do this on my site, and for the most part I think I do, but we’re all going to have something to say on the larger issues and artists within our beloved genre so a mix between covering major and independant artists is the best thing to do I think.
@ Aidan - “How To Rob…” is actually pretty dope.
The line on there about Big Pun kills it…
