O2 to release Apple iPhone in the UK
Published by Editor September 19th, 2007 in News.
The iPhone will begin shipping in the U.K. on November 9 through Apple retail stores, O2, and Carphone Warehouse, similar to the USA the device won’t be available under any subsidy and it will £269 for the handset under an 18-month contract with O2 on the £35, £45 and £55 per month contracts.
The main thing about the new deals are that the consumer will get unlimited browsing and data traffic and the current “Cloud” network (Wi-Fi hotspots) will be free to use to all iPhone users and will be updated for current O2 customers on the 1st October. With only a 2 megapixel camera however there are still a few questions on everyone’s lips as to the overall product as many phones now offer comparable or even better functions to the iPhone but there is no doubt in anyone’s minds this going to be the must have Christmas present for 2007.
The iPhone will be limited to only 2 per customer in order to satisfy the anticipated demands for the iPhone and after some teething difficulties in the US it seems the iPhone will be a winner for O2 in the UK.
