Uhhh, perhaps you don't know, but several artists are trying to benefit from blogs nowadays for mass exposure, HHB isn't dead, and is also a great source for getting heard if your a new artist with quality. Even if your an old artist, they hear an album on there, and look for more, and buy their merch, we always tell people to support, and dont have a lack of integrity.

Well, HHB posted too much (bullsh*t). I prefer quality over quantity. Those albums on HHB could easily be found on albumbase.com. They just upped random albums in an order without any concept. So, don't panic, you are safe (unless you are doing the same amount of "work", HHB did).

I truly beleive that HHB's demise was due to their blatant flaunting of unreleased material, I think alot of bootleggers who offer old and rare samples have the right idea & I bet some of the artists and labels are probably glad of the media attention even 15-20 years later.

I know a few DJ's who use these sites and to them they are invaluable in searching out those rare gems, and they are then played to a whole new audience during their next set or party.

This HHB incident makes me think twice about putting up full albums on my blog, or even anything at all. But as you say, I also feel that I'm helping the artists in some way by getting their music out there and giving them a bigger audience, no matter how small an addition.

Blogs in general are superb for the profiles of artists, and some have gained an entire new audience just from the blogging community, so I agree wholeheartedly when you say artists should embrace the new digital revolution and try as hard as possible to get their music out on the internet for free to give the listeners a good first impression before releasing their albums in the shops.

Great site mate, I'll visit it a lot more often.
