Diff’rent Strokes - Venue Change!

For all of those who aren’t aware of the last 24 hours dramatic events I guess I should fill some of you in:

It all started yesterday afternoon (26/6/07) at 3pm when we got a message from the Primrose that the pubs cellar had been flooded and was 5 foot deep in water and with less than 30 hours to go ’til the first Diff’rent Strokes night in Leeds was due to get underway we were thrown to put it mildly. For about half an hour we all sat there bemused before frantically getting out the mobile phones and ringing venues across the city to see if we could get it moved. By a sheer stroke of kindness and good luck the Faversham stepped up and allowed us to move the night there so that we could still go ahead and bring across Pat D and Lady Paradox who were both travelling to Leeds for the night…

The next few hours were spent puting up posters, ringing and emailing everyone we could think of to let them know about our change of venue so that they didn’t turn up at the Primrose looking lost and confused?

Hopefully things will be back to normal at the Primrose soon and for the end of July, Diff’rent Strokes should finally open at the Primrose with Blessed House and DTTSS on the bill. A big thank you to all of the staff at the Faversham for helping us out in our hour of need. Also a big thanks to Doc (Paul) who has offered to come to the Faversham to help us out on the night.
